Summary
Nicolò di Genova is an Expendable on an icebound colony: he goes out, he dies, the printer brings him back. The company calls it continuity and writes him down as an asset; Nicky remembers every last moment.
Joe is security, the one who signs off on risk profiles and waits in the print lab for the cradle to spit Nicky out again.
After a “routine” mission goes wrong, a wake-up in cold fluorescent light and the quiet walk back to their bunk drag old fears to the surface: what choice means when you never really had one, where duty ends, and how you love someone the world insists is replaceable.

Summary
Six months in and the New Avengers had fallen into a routine with only a few bumps in the road. And being in charge of them isn't too hard. All things considered, Bucky thought being a leader wasn't so bad. The worst part was dealing with Valentina and keeping them from biting each other's heads off and trying to shrug off that exhaustion that just won't go away. But everything was fine, really. Nothing worth mentioning.
