Summary
Sometimes what you want is complicated. Sometimes it's easy. Sometimes it's a mess. But the general rule of getting what you want is that you have to do something about it.
At the age of thirteen, as is tradition for a young witch, Prompto set out on his pilgrimage. There he met Noctis, Ignis, and Gladiolus, who were willing to help him navigate the ins and outs of having magic.
At the age of eighteen, Prompto figured he was a pretty decent witch. But, magical or not, life goes on. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.
Note: Inspired by Kiki's Delivery Service, but you don't have to watch it to know what's going on.

Summary
In the year 2453, Ignis Scientia has based his history thesis around the possibility that there was a strong reaction from the Scientific Community undermined by political moves in his era of study. How does he plan to do this? By applying for the prestigious and highly regulated privilege of traveling back in time.
While posing as a college student during the upheaval of the academic community following the 2016 election, Ignis met Prompto, a twenty year old man from Kansas. He was Ignis’ roommate, visiting DC on his own exchange program. Prompto – a self-proclaimed Otaku – spoke enough Japanese that Ignis’ possession of maybe half a dozen words in English was not a problem. As their lives played out over the course of the following four months in their small shared dorm room, Ignis began to realize the importance of apologies, regret, the impact of his own actions, and why it’s sometimes better to do something when you know it will make you feel worse in the long run. Mostly, he learned what it was like to fall in love with someone you really shouldn’t.

Summary
What brought them together is still too young, too fresh a thing in the span of their years; nostalgia is not the right word to describe the memories, no, but in their short lives this journey has been long. The desert boy in the blue shadows of the lighthouse is a beacon Balthier never thought he needed until Vaan shone so bright that it occurred to him, all at once, that he's been flying in the dark this entire time. They have traveled so far since the night he threw the brat off a parapet, and not simply by tangible distance alone.
Indulging in the reverie of those days will get them nowhere now, but he doesn't say it.
