When he was younger, Nocturna had told him that the night was a time for comfort and rest. If he was willing to accept the darkness, the night would protect him.
Then why do people do bad things at night?
People do bad things no matter the time of day. Those vandals who commit atrocities in the night do nothing but tarnish her true nature. Mother Night is benevolent and elegant. Gives us a view of how the world could be if humanity wasn't so rumbustious.
In the end, his mother had turned out with a rambunctious son that disgraced the night constantly. Disgraced her and her goodness, her kindness...** This is a continuation of another fic of mine, but can be read as a stand alone too :) **

It clicks at him again. There's an answering shiver in Yoshiki's ribs, a mix of fear and itchy curiosity. Against his better judgement he inches forward, lifting his hand into the space between them. The thing tracks his movements with a noiseless twitch.
"Do you feel other things the same, too? Like... if I touch you, can you feel it?"

It is a deep dive into the psyches of Angel and Aki filled with angst, fluff and a lot of stupid decisions.

Summary
Contrary to popular opinion, being a phantom thief does not pay well.

Which is good, considering his car has broken down, it’s raining and he needs to ask someone for help or wait out the storm in his car.
