Summary
Notorious outlaw Blackbeard has had enough of the grind. He's ready to break away from the life and start anew, somewhere far enough that the law and the noose won't reach him.
Stede Bonnet is an omega sheriff with everything to prove. He's sick of being typecast as a helpless omega and doubles down on his search to bring hooligans to justice.
After a shoot out with the annoying Badminton twins, Stede is injured and left for dead. Who would happen upon him but the dread outlaw Blackbeard who can't seem to focus on anything other than Stede being an omega-- an omega who sees him for more than what everyone else sees him as: a monster.
Even when he’s the monster who shows up six years too late after Stede’s been forced into an abusive marriage.
Their story isn't without it's challenges, in fact, it seems there is nothing but challenges for the two of them to make their way to each other, but if there's a chance they might make it, well, they're going to try.

Summary
The memories of abuse are not forgotten with time, as he had hoped. He had survived, he thought that would be the end, but it was the beginning of a brutal recovery. One of which he couldn’t tell anyone about. Because who would believe a spoiled, soft-bellied idiot? No one, or at least, no one alive. Nigel and Chauncy haunted his brain far before he killed Nigel, reopening his wounds when he thought they had scarred over.
That was why, when Chauncy Badminton ordered him to follow, saying he must pay for killing his brother, saying he must disdain the most beautiful man on earth, he swallowed his hesitation, and followed him.

Chauncey doesn’t shoot himself and successfully captures Stede Bonnet. Years of bullying make Stede terrified and complacent, making Chauncey’s job easier. Edward throws out all things soft in his life, including memories of Stede.
That is, until the crew hears rumors about a Badminton who’d lost his mind. Then the pieces start to fit together.

Yet another Chauncy-tortures-Stede fic because I can’t get enough of them, but it includes a tale of recovering from bullying. Chauncy’s torture dates back to Stede’s childhood, and he works to overcome it.
