Summary
"First you pick a flower – any flower you wish – and think of your intended. Say 'he loves me', and you pluck a petal. Then you pluck another, only this time you say ‘he loves me not’. Repeat and repeat until there’s no more left. The last one holds true.”
_Sun Wukong, the Great Monkey King, has recently gotten into the habit of visiting Mainland and expanding his horizons. And it’s great! He gets to fight new people, see new sights — and entertain his subjects with all the awesome things he finds.
...Now not all of his findings are equally cool. Sometimes, humans just like to overcomplicate things. Because really, who could ever even think of determining love by plucking flower petals?

You are a shadow in the darkness. Extinguished by light, but unable to live without it. Like Icarus, caught between the sea and sky.
And you always did love the sun.(An exploration of Macaque’s dependency in metaphor)

And then the world froze, because Wukong was right there next to him, pressing a sloppy kiss to his cheek, and there was a scorching warmth rushing through his veins, and he had definitely left the lights on at home.
His poor, poor electricity bill.
OR
One day the universe woke up and chose violence, and Macaque as its unfortunate victim. Now, everything is going wrong for the poor monkey, but after rain comes the Sun, does it not?
