Jaron gets an invitation from Rek. A month long backpacking trip with Clown, Loony and some others. Due to some unfortunate business, Jaron's been looking for a good place to lay low, and off the grid camping sounds like the best place to not be followed.
Sometimes when you avoid one bad thing it just invites the opportunity for something worse. Mogswamp dies in a strange accident. Can Jaron and Rekrap figure out whats happening before their group looses another? -

Mapicc lives and works with a constant itch in his heart for some sort of adventure. Roshambo owns a boat, and Zam doesn't know who he is, or at least isn't telling anyone otherwise.
Change is on the horizon for Pixie Hollow, Mother Dove is sick and their supplies of Pixie Dust can't last forever. Something needs to happen, and a bright new arrival may change their course.

Summary
Bacon dies first. This isn't a new story, everyone saw this coming. But it still sucks for him. To be dead while his teammates live on, while his enemy still breaths. In fact, the only thing that's more annoying than the death, is the fact that his killer gets to stand peacefully at Mapicc's side while Bacon rots in his grave.

Minute grabs Wemmbu’s arm before it can crawl its way onto him. "What do you want?" It’s only them left in this world. And if Wemmbu hasn’t ended it yet, then it must still be here.
"Oh, Minute. I want the same thing you do." he says, his breath hot on his neck. Minute shivers, is this really happening? He was fine with killing or being killed with Wemmbu. Leave the only intimacy being the end of a sword disembowelling him. But if it could go further?
"Then take it." Minute whispers, he wanted to say it stronger. But he’s a fighter not a lover. He doesn’t know how to ask.

”Yeah, what’s up?“ Redd replies, trusting in Ash to stop moving. To turn his back to the monsters behind them to look him in the eyes.

”Right. Uh, I think that hill over there could be a decent place to go.“ Redd tries, wanting some value from this interruption in running for their lives. Ash liked his life, and Redd’s life too. -

Feinberg chases down the last man standing against him and his team. Dasnerth and Fruit cover him with their gunfire, as Fein pursues. It’s not long till he trips over his bullet wounds and Fein stabs his weighty sword into him. Once, twice. Three times and he’s sure the body is still.
This is what victory feels like. A heavy silence and blood staining the ground. The scent of gunpowder fills the air and the last three men alive take a moment to relax. If Fein’s heart had room for anything besides the manufactured adrenaline pumping through it, it may have panged for Couriway’s absence.
Fein is perfectly aware of Dasnerth’s gun pointed at the dead man beside him. How easy it would be to finish him off. They all know that it’s last man standing, not last few.

Summary
Zam's been working hard on getting the machine to work and bedrock to break. He hasn't had time to really do anything else. His wings have completely fallen to disarray. Bacon notices his struggles and offers to help him in any way that isn't placing or crafting pistons. The best thing he can do is help preen Zam.
”Do you just hate me then? Is that it Bacon?“
”I don’t hate you. You’re just annoying, and stupid.“ Bacon says. Bacon runs his fingers between each feather, scratching at itches Zam had lost track of days ago; all of his discomfort had bundled itself up into one miserable ball on his back. ”And silly. You’re very silly Zam.“
Zam winces as Bacon plucks out a secondary flight feather with a broken shaft. ”Bacon, you’re dooming the Yuri. How could you?“ -

Summary
Abyss is over. Bacon didn’t expect it to mean that the Void Ponies were over too, but after Jumper’s betrayal. And the fact that Pentar wanted to leave also. There’s just no way for them to prance through this one.
So it’s almost back to how it was in the beginning, just him and Mapicc against the world. They make a good team, Mapicc as the brawn, Bacon the brains. Together they stood on steady ground in the turmoil of Lifesteal.
And of course, Bacon had Zam now too. A heart to complete he and Mapicc’s dynamic duo. It was nice to work with Zam, he seemed reliable. Mapicc was hesitant to trust him again, but after they got over that, all three of them had been an amazing team. And will continue to be a fucking amazing team.

Summary
Zam looks at the blood on his hands, and he looks at the unknocked door in front of him. If he was being smart he would go bandage his wounds in silence, but the dreadful part of Zam that demands he be seen strands him at Subz’s door in the middle of the night.
He stands far longer than he should, letting the blood run down him. Draining from slits in his arm, gently coating his hand. It’s warm, as the blood trickles between his fingers it almost feels he’s holding someone's hand. But he’s not. Zam is alone, and he will be alone for as long as he isn’t knocking on this door. Or maybe in a few hours when Subz prys himself from Vitalasy’s grasp to start his day.
Regardless, inaction will only lead to more bloodloss and loneliness. And while he’s been accustomed to those things he doesn’t want to be. And he doesn’t think he has to settle for them. -

Pangi doesn’t have a response. He takes a large sip of his tea. Redd knows how to make it how he likes. And he wonders if Zam still remembers. Or if all the time they spent together last season has been forgotten.

Zam readjusts herself in bed, it's about time to get up, but she's comfy, and as long as it’s just her down here, she can do whatever it is she wants.
Until Minutetech groans as he rolls over, in the bed that he and Zam decided to share last night. And that sudden realisation that Zam is not alone is enough to shock him back to reality.
Right. No more dreams, back in the body he actually has. He is Prince Zam, and he’s always been that. There is no sword or dress that can change who he’s always been. Zam should be trying not to let himself have too much fun here, he has to go back to Lifesteal eventually. Kings was never made to be a permanent server.
They have maybe a few months more of this server, where he can pretend to be beautiful on weekends. Zam will miss this place, because he really loves it here. It’s freeing in a way that he’s never felt before.
