Will laughs a little, shaking his head with an expression of complete bewilderment. “You already have.”
“Something else.”
Will shrugs. Mike wonders what he’s thinking. “Go for it.”
“It might be weird,” Mike warns in a stage whisper. He isn’t sure what’s weird or not anymore. He has a feeling this question crosses the line, but the feeling isn’t strong enough to stop him from asking. Not with Will standing so close, looking so glowy and perfect.
“Whatever, Mike,” Will laughs. “It can’t be weirder than what’s already happened to-”
“Have you ever thought about us?”In which Mike Wheeler gets drunk, tries to kiss his best friend, and is generally an idiot. What else is new.

Honestly, Mike doesn't know what he thought being Will Byers' fake-boyfriend would entail, but he definitely didn't think it would involve this many ugly Christmas sweaters.

The scent of rusted metal, the drag of the strings, the ache on his thumb where the skin had been chipped off by a single mistake when he'd misangled the plectrum. He opened his eyes to see the scene in front of him again—the same venue—the same equipment—the same guitar. Jisung could barely make out much of the current happenings. His fingers were attuned with the guitar that they simply played with a mind of their own. This was his last show.

It’s naive to think that soulmates don’t need to do any sort of relationship work. There are literal studies on the topic, all coming to the same conclusion: The couples who think their connection will be instantly successful, without any real work on their part, are the least likely to stay together.
Jisung is perfectly fine on his own, providing for his self-proclaimed "babies": Seungmin & Jeongin. He's got this whole soulmate-thing worked out.
But then it turns out he has five more soulmates, and maybe, just maybe, he doesn't always need to be the one providing and protecting. Sometimes, it's okay to let others care for him.
