Summary
When a time-traveling Tom Riddle appears at the Burrow during the summer of 1996—as angry, cruel, and murderous as ever—he is given an Elixir to Induce Euphoria to quell his violent tendencies. An unintentional side effect occurs when Tom becomes addicted to the feeling of pure happiness.
Harry Potter tries to teach him to be happy without the use of the potion.

Summary
There were a great many things Harry still didn’t know about his world. And he was perfectly all right with that.
You didn’t have to be the cleverest person in the world to be happy, after all, and nobody knew everything. (Though Harry rather suspected Tom would argue otherwise.)
Still, Harry thought it was only fair. If everyone knew everything already, there wouldn’t be much point in anything, would there?
That was what made school so brilliant. It was a place absolutely soaked in opportunity. Or at least, that was how Tom would have put it.
Always seize opportunity by the throat, he’d said once.
It seemed a bit excessive. But nevertheless, Harry fully intended to get everything he possibly could out of the whole affair.
After all, he was his father’s son.
Hogwarts had no idea what was coming.
Between Hogwarts hijinks, a meddling headmaster, and Tom’s overprotective tendencies – paired with his not‑so‑secret quest for Ministry dominance – Harry’s school years are anything but ordinary.

Summary
Upon hearing the prophecy, Lily Potter chooses differently. She brokers a deal with her once-enemy, and instead of an equal, her son is marked as something else entirely. Now raised under Lord Voldemort’s reign, Harry Potter grows up with doctrine in his ears and a leash at his throat, forced into a careful charade of false obedience. He thinks he can maintain the lie—until he finds a locket in the dusty depths of Grimmauld Place. It’s awake, aware, and Harry just so happens to yank the soul inside free from its prison.
