He can see Xingqiu’s grip visibly tighten. “I was under the impression that the war was over five years ago.”
Venti laughs bitterly. “We have no choice but to rehash those old memories, don’t we?”
Xingqiu hums noncommittally, staring at the portrait of his deceased father, ever-present in his personal quarters.
The tea cup’s porcelain meets the wooden table. Teal eyes meet amber irises.
“What do you need me to do?”
OR: Seven nations, the Abyss, Celestia, and the war that tears them apart.

Summary
Lumine paused. "You're saying we need a memory of Guizhong?"
Hu Tao nodded cheerfully. "Preferably one associated with strong emotions, because the stronger one feels, the stronger the memory. And I'd rather not ask Zhongli, because convincing him to part with even a single memory of Guizhong does not sound like fun."
The traveler frowned lightly. "Why a memory though? What power lies in a memory?"
"Not power," Hu Tao corrected, "but more a path. A passage. A key to a lock. Those in the spirit realm - the dead - are connected to us through only one thing: memories. When none of the living remember you, you might as well have never existed."
Or
Hu Tao summons Guizhong's spirit so that a certain lonely archon can finally give his last goodbyes. But also, not really.
Oh, and Lumine and our favourite amber eyed yaksha somehow get dragged into the mess too, because the more the merrier.

Grian breathes out. “How does it feel to be on the ice?”
“Freeing.” Mumbo replies automatically. “Amazing. Wonderful.”
Grian looks away. “I know you’re trying to get me back into it. Mumbo, I- I can’t. I just wanted to know-”
“If you want to know, perhaps you should get on yourself.” Mumbo says, uncharacteristically confrontational. “You know that Corpse and Sykkuno are more than willing to get you to start up again.”
“It’s been years.” Grian says quietly.
“It’s been years.” Mumbo agrees. “But figure skating is your passion.”
“Until it’s not.” Grian mumbles.
OR: In which Grian is a talented figure skater who has given up his craft, Mumbo tries to help him get back into it, and the idots crash the party. Oh, and the crew is all here too.

“You surprise me at every turn, Enlightened One.” The entity places another shimmering piece on the board, ready to capture his collection of pieces in the far corner he observed earlier. “I have not been this entertained in eons.”
“Not even by others of the Previous Era?”
“Previous Era?” Su cannot see the powerful and omniscient being before him, but he gets the impression that It is tilting its head curiously. “Your Era was one in many. The cycle has gone on for millennia - no, much farther than that… old enough that your kind has yet to coin a term for it. You are simply the first to preserve records of an age past.”
“I suppose that is both an achievement and a condemnation.”
“Very good.” The mass of stars before him seems to twinkle.
OR: Su, The Universe, and a game of chess.

“I just didn’t want you to get hurt.” Welt frowned. “I panicked.”
“Happens to the best of us.” Einstein patted him on the back lightly. “It’s alright.”
They sat like that for a while, in companionable silence. Nothing between them and nothing around them, but the world in its beautiful stillness.
“Why did you give me the name Welt?” The man in question asked suddenly.
As expected, however, the scientist gave no answer - she only smiled cryptically. “Maybe you should ask someone else.”
OR: Einstein, Tesla, Joachim and Joyce, on the topic of the name Welt.

The Hermits and the Quest for the Cursed Crown by Goldstone_Wolf

Summary
Twenty-four adventurers, nicknamed the Hermits, end up on a quest to find the Cursed Crown. It'd be easy...if it weren't for:
1) The fact they don't know each other,
2) The fact some of them don't want to know each other,
3) and the fact some of them are from species that everyone thinks are either myth or extinct. Oh, and some of the other group members are why those species are thought of that way.
Add to that their own personal baggage, and the fact they have six less members than the other groups, a penchant to get in trouble, and a mystery benefactor who is probably the harbinger of chaos...things are going to get interesting.+++

Dungeons and Dragons with Hermitcraft. Beautiful language, wonderful flow. One of the best stories out there, and painfully underrated. If someone is reading this, GO READ IT. Please and thank you.
