“If you don’t kiss him already, I’ll do it instead,” Kugisaki grits through her teeth, waving her soup spoon violently.
Fushiguro splutters. “What?!”
Kugisaki glares at him, eyes venomous as she angrily swallows her soup. “I don’t even like boys, but if that’ll wake you up and get you to do something about… this-” she gestures at him unhelpfully “-so that I can stop watching you pine and make those dopey eyes at him while I’m trying to eat my goddamn food, I swear to god I will kiss him. Even if that repulses me to no end.”
“I-”
“Save it.” Kugisaki cuts him off. “Your shikigami could do better.”
Fushiguro jolts, his mind unhelpfully supplying the image of his jade hounds nuzzled against both sides of Itadori, licking and pawing at him. He sighs heavily. “Tell me about it.”

Summary
Things like this didn’t actually happen, that’s what Megumi had always thought. It was all a myth perpetrated by Hallmark that tricked people into thinking that’s what they had to aspire to, what they should expect from their partners just to inevitably be let down. He should have known Yuuji would prove him wrong. Even before he asked him to be his boyfriend, Yuuji had always been attentive and considerate, always showed his friends how much he cared through favors and random, kind gestures and gifts. Megumi just… hadn’t expected this much.

The frame of the bed looked weird up close. A little bulkier near the bottom than it should be. There were faint lines in the wood, just under the edge, and a handle barely tucked beneath the lip of the platform. He wouldn’t have noticed it unless he was already on the floor.
Megumi squinted. There were little wheels down there too.
Wait.
No way.

It's the kind of confession he can only get away with under the cover of night. When he's a little tipsy and their apartment feels like home and maybe this was all a dream anyways.
Megumi whips around and —
What's happening now is not a kiss. There's no moment of relief. No wandering hands pull him closer. No desperate moans or soft sighs fill the air.
But Megumi's lips are close enough to graze Yuuji's. He knows what Megumi's lips feel like on his, but not what it's like to kiss him. The restraint it takes to keep himself from moving and making this actually a kiss exhausts his muscles. Perfect stillness is required to keep this from turning into something else. He can't quite maintain it though. He's trembling. Lips bumping forward slightly at irregular intervals before the paper thin gap between them returns. Like his body is trying to force him to give in to desire and just kiss him already.
Megumi is the first to move. Not forward like Yuuji desperately wants — needs —though. He veers off to one side, ghosting delicately over Yuuji's cheek. Presses his lips into the shell of Yuuji's ear and whispers, "Goodnight, Yuuji."

After approximately thirteen seconds of tense silence, Yuuji shrugs. "Eh, I'm not worried. I'll get you over to my place one way or another." He takes a step closer. Gets right up in Megumi's face and smiles as he says, "I look forward to it."
Who does Yuuji think he is, acting so cocky like that? Just deciding that he knows Megumi better than he knows himself. Assuming that because he's persistent and a good chef and confident and hot that Megumi will fold like a house of cards and come over just because he asked. If that's the case, then he certainly has another thing coming.
Megumi makes a decision. He is never setting foot in that apartment again. And he sure as hell won't be going over for dinner.
OR megumi’s neighbor, yuuji, has been pissing him off. he breaks into his apartment to confront him about it. it goes both better and worse than expected.

Stealing sweets for a couple of days obviously came with the constant warning of getting caught- however, Yuuji thought maybe that's all there is to it. Maybe getting one beating, a good scolding and some embarrassment would be right where it ends, no change in his overall life whatsoever... right?
When a new interest captivates Yuuji to go out of his way to take new risks and challenges, he's eager to find out more about it. And when he realizes that he's in too deep to just ignore, run away, and pretend like none of this ever happened, he finds himself a little too drawn to the pretty boy next door.
"Single and ready to mingle", while inexperienced and oblivious as he is, things with this said pretty boy can't ruin him that much... right?
And if getting into things he never put that much thought isn't enough, how much exactly is he willing to let this said pretty boy ruin his sanity?

Summary
“Did you need something?” Kento asks. There’s something akin to guilt radiating off Haibara, but it could just be because he knows he’s causing a disturbance. “Did Gojo-san do something stupid again?”
Haibara laughs and looks around the room. “No, Gojo-senpai is fine. I had fun! Everyone missed you though.”
Kento snorts, fluttering his longest bangs in the process. When they tickle his cheek, he tucks them back behind his ear.
“I doubt that.” It’s not a hard conclusion for him to make, even if two out of three of them actually treat him pretty well. Seniors are meant to look out for their juniors, in some respects. He won’t presume it’s anything more than that.

Fushiguro puts a hand to Yuuji’s forehead. To check for a fever. Obviously.
“You feel hot.”
“I feel hot?” Yuuji balks, “No — you’re hot — feel hot — I’m — What? I —”
“That’s enough,” Fushiguro interrupts.
Is it just Yuuji or does Fushiguro look a little flushed too? But that can’t be right. When he was touching him just now his hands felt so icy.
Oh god, he’s starting to hallucinate. It’s never been this bad before. He didn’t even know heat stroke could cause hallucinations.
“I’m taking him to Ieiri.”
Fushiguro heaves him up to standing and threads an arm around his waist. The difference in temperature between Fushiguro’s cold skin and Yuuji’s overheated skin is disorienting. Yuuji puts his arm around Fushiguro’s shoulder. To make it easier for him to help support Yuuji’s weight. Obviously.
As the two of them stumble towards the infirmary, Yuuji hears what sounds like Kugisaki laughing under her breath. He glances back to see if that was real or not, but her mouth is firmly pressed into a smirk.
He’s probably just imagining things again.
OR yuuji learns that heat stroke & a crush on your best friend have a lot of the same symptoms

“Really? A trivia night?”
“I mean… trivia nights are fun,” Yuuji said, trying to push back. “It’s not like math or science. He can just relax. Have some beer, eat chicken wings."
Kamo stepped closer, a quiet, knowing smile tugging at his lips. “Fushiguro spends five days a week thinking,” he said. “If I were taking him out, I’d offer something better.”
“Like what?” he asked, more sharply than he intended.
“A proper dinner,” Kamo replied smoothly, adjusting his sleeve. “Somewhere quiet. Refined. A five-star restaurant with good food and good atmosphere.” His gaze flicked toward Yuuji. “Not some noisy, cramped pub filled with questions he won’t even enjoy.”
And the worst part? It sounded… right. Megumi did belong in places like that. Not in a loud, sticky-floored pub.
