Summary

Summary
“Uhh… Chris?” Jisung speaks through gritted teeth. He must sound much worse than he thinks, because his voice alone sends Chris into a panic.
“Jisung? Ohmygod, what’s wrong?! Where are you? Hang on, I’m tracking your phone, ohmygosh, what’s happening-”
“Got shot”, Jisung forces out, not nearly lucid enough to explain in more detail. As if reawakened by his words, the sting in his side returns, only about a hundred times more intense, and this time, Jisung blacks out for real.

Summary
They’re in week three of this argument, Jisung is pretty sure, and there are only so many ways to talk about it. Jisung had started off by asking politely, slowly shifted to reasoning with him, slid quickly into pleading, and now he was definitely just arguing. It was a fun routine.

A simple disagreement leads to a fallout that neither Jisung nor Minho could possibly have prepared for.

“So, Minho-ssi,” Jisung starts, closing the fridge door and hopping up to sit on the counter. He cracks open his can. “Tell me something about yourself.”
Minho plays with the can tab, digging his fingertips into the metal. I’m a felon, but you know that already. I’m a dancer. I don't remember how to dance. I don't remember my mother. I love cats. I don't remember my cat. I don't know how to exist anymore. I have scars across my back from being hit. I have burns on my hands. My left rib has the ugliest tattoo you’ll ever see.
After fifteen years spent in prison, Minho is released with no understanding of modern society and nobody to help him assimilate. Enter Jisung— twelve-years younger, living down the hall, and strangely enamored with his broody, mysterious new neighbor.
