Summary
When two witchers show up in Oxenfurt summoning Jaskier home to Lettenhove immediately, he's confused but intrigued. For one thing, Lettenhove isn't "home" - the last time he saw it, and the rest of his family, was eighteen years ago. Why is he needed there so urgently? After that, he doesn’t much mind leaving Oxenfurt. He’s not the type to hang around once a party’s over, and after four years in the city, he’s ready for new things. New people, new sights, new adventures. New things to write songs about, and new audiences to sing them to. New loves, new beds, new pleasures. He’s already bought a horse and ordered a travelling wardrobe, and while he didn’t intend Lettenhove to be the first stop on the fascinating journey of the rest of his life, it might as well be.

He couldn’t call out to Sukuna like he used to. Yuji feared he no longer understood the curse, if he ever truly knew him at all. He’d been too naïve for his own good, but when fear was breaking down the last of his walls, all Yuji could do was shuffle toward the curse, one hand tugging on his clothes, and beg for him to reconsider.
“A-Aniki… Don’t go away.”
As soon as the words slipped out between Yuji’s lips, regret took over at the sight of Sukuna’s face. He honestly didn’t know how the curse would react, expecting to be shoved off again as the more likely outcome than the full-body freeze he was witnessing.
The curse’s eyes widened, bewildered by the form of address Yuji had used. It wasn’t like a Yuji could have used his name, and he was still in Fushiguro’s body, which for better or for worse gave him the stature of a teenager… He’d made Sukuna livid, hadn’t he?
This was how his life was going to end.
❤ Yuji gets attacked while alone and turned into a child. His memories are all intact, but no one else needs to know that. Especially when the first person to find him is the curse who abandoned him once already.
