Summary
Ilya finally opens up about the fear and pressure that made him push Shane away years ago. What follows isn’t dramatic declarations, but something gentler—late-night honesty, slow forgiveness, and a soft morning where staying feels braver than running.

Summary
He dropped his eyes, tried to keep his body language loose even though his chest felt like it was in a vise. “Used to know places like this. Haven’t in a while.”
The dealer’s smirk spread wider, and TK hated the way it made him feel—like he was transparent, like all his defenses were made of glass. “Ah. That explains it. You’ve got that… edge. Guys who’ve been clean for a bit, they walk in different. Not desperate, but hungry.” His gaze was sharp, unflinching. “The itch never really goes away, does it?”
The words hit like a blow, but what stung worse was that he couldn’t even deny them.
Or. When TK’s past catches up in a dangerous near-relapse, he’s forced to confront cravings, shame, and fear he’s fought to bury. Every instinct is tested as Carlos navigates panic, guilt, and desperation to protect the man he loves—and the family they’ve built together.

Five Times Chimney Suspected Buck and Eddie Were Definitely Dating (+1 When Buck Accidentally Made It Obvious) by Buddiology

Summary
Chimney’s not nosy. He’s observant. That’s different.
And what he’s observing is that Buck and Eddie are... acting weird. Domestic weird. Married weird.
First it’s a hoodie. Then it’s emergency contacts. Then it’s joint parenting and late-night cuddle piles and suspicious bike dates in Echo Park.
Everyone else seems unfazed. Hen just smirks. Bobby chuckles meaningfully. Maddie has the audacity to look knowingly fond.
Chimney? He’s hanging on by a thread.
(Or: Five times Chimney was sure Buck and Eddie were dating, and the one time Buck kissed Eddie in front of everyone like it was no big deal—because apparently, it wasn’t.)

Summary
A soft knock starts on the door.
“Buck?” It’s Eddie. Of course it’s Eddie. “Are you feeling okay?”
Buck feels like he’s going to throw up. “No."
“Can I come in?”
Buck closes his eyes. He tries to take another deep breath, trying to remind himself he’s in Eddie’s bathroom, in Eddie’s house, probably the safest place he’s ever been in L.A, and that he’s not in an office trying to talk about a kid’s death.
He scoots closer to the toilet, resting his back on the edge of the tub, “Yeah.”

“I’m falling in love with… someone.”
“Do you like it?”
“I kinda hate it. But it’s nice. When it’s nice, it’s… nice.”
or; Shane comes out to someone. He’s high on painkillers, but he doesn’t name names (not that he has to) and Dr Frances Yu takes HIPAA seriously.

Summary
Shane had made so much progress in the past year and a half. Between therapy and playing for Ottawa, he was in a much better place mentally.
And yet.
Yet, today, he felt like his body wasn’t his own, like his bones weren’t fit together quite right, like his muscle and flesh and all the bits underneath were just wrong.
“It’s the,” he started again, squeezing his eyes shut to block out the knowing look in Ilya’s. “It’s the idea of putting it on my plate, in my mouth. It’s not good… For me.”
Shane and Ilya host Christmas dinner for the first time, and Shane struggles with the sweet potato casserole.

Summary
Ilya’s spent his whole life hiding. Now he wants to go to Pride — their first as a married couple, in their new city, with their new team.
Shane’s spent his whole career being careful, being quiet, being private about everything that matters.
But maybe it’s time to stop being so fucking careful.
(or the one where Ilya buys too many flags, the team shows up in matching shirts, and Shane learns what it feels like to be proud.)
