'He tried to scrape together whatever courage he had left to enter the rooms beyond. He was a long way down from the surface of the earth where the sun was starting to set. His friends were probably laughing at his foolishness of willingly coming down here to the dungeons. “Are you sure that you want to go down there?” Gem had chided. “I guess if anyone was first, it should be you!” crowed Grian. “It was nice knowing you, my friend!” Zedaph had winked. They too, would come down and face the wrath that the dungeon master had warned them about. He first had to make it out alive so he could see that disaster himself.'

Summary

Summary
Their shoulders brushed again, slow and equally savored. The kind of movement you couldn't pretend was an accident.
So Will brushed back, just barely. Testing. Flirting. Mike inhaled softly, the faintest noise escaping him. And then he spoke like he was physically unable to stay silent any longer.
“Will? If… if that boy you like…” he was standing so close that Will could feel the warmth of him against the cold air. “…If you ever wanted to tell him…”
Will felt his breath stop.
“…I think he’d want to know.”
OR: A buzzy post-vol 1 fic in which Will finally grows more confident, only for the hivemind’s possession to take it all away again. Mike may be the only one who can bring it back. And the two of them might be the only ones who can save the world.

Will gets possessed by Vecna. Has a bad time. Mike is a Velcro bf, and won’t leave. Will is controlled by Veccy to extinguish Mike and almost succeeds. Mike saves the moment by telling Will how he feels and they both live happily ever after. With no injuries whatsoever, *wink wink *, the end.

Will tried to swallow down the last of his fear, but his throat felt like sandpaper.
“Take me.”
Those milky eyes fixed on him, and a warped brow lifted, as if asking him to repeat himself.
Even though the cold seeped into him, like he was drifting backwards into a freezer, Will didn’t take the way out.
“Take me,” he repeated, his voice still shaky, but he held Vecna’s gaze. “Take me instead of Holly. I’ll come to you. I won’t fight. Just finish it already.”
Vecna was silent for a long, agonizing moment, but then, a smile curled across his twisted face.
“Deal.”---
Will offers himself to Vecna in exchange for Holly’s safety.
