Summary
Will stirred sleepily to the sound of voices and a heavy weight beside him.
“Whazup?” he mumbled, lifting his head off the pillow and blinking in the darkness.
“Shhh, it’s fine,” replied Mike’s soft voice, breaking through the stillness that had followed Will’s muffled question, “I’ve got this one. You can go back to sleep.”
Mike and Will take turns staying up with Holly, who has begun to have nightmares about the monsters in Hawkins. Things take a curiously domestic turn.

“Don’t… touch… them…” Mike growls through his teeth.
“Ah, but Michael,” Vecna sneers as a different kind of vine crawls up the wall. “That’s not your choice. All you have to do is stay where they can see you suffering.”
The new vine– covered in spikes and thorns– wraps itself around Mike’s ankle, sinking said spikes and thorns into his flesh. Blistering hot pain bubbles around his foot, quickly crawling up his leg.

Vecna kidnaps Mike to be bait because El and Will ♥️ Mike so he poisons the guy to make him suffer

Summary
“Well, it was nice meeting you two,” David said. He leaned forward towards Will, and gave him a single, light pat on his head.
“And I’ll see you around,” he said softly.
Will blinked up at him in a daze, eyes wide and cheeks gaining a tint of pink again.
Mike stared, stunned. Did he just touch Will’s hair? Mike was the only one that ever did that!

“Yeah,” Mike nods, but it isn’t the most convincing, and he can’t find it in him to care, in the late hour, “I was just – thinking.”
It’s not the most significant outfit, but still. Will looks nice. He’s always looked good in white.
Mike blinks. That’s – weird. That’s a weird thing to think about his best friend.
He effectively turns off his brain.
Will asks, “About what?”
“You,” Mike replies, and maybe turning his brain off was the worst idea he could’ve possibly had at nearly three a.m., Jesus fucking Christ.Mike confronts Will about the painting, and lets a few confessions slip.
