Summary
“You must understand,” Aziraphale had whispered. He was on the doorstep of the bookshop, months after his departure, looking in at Crowley — disheveled, both of them. Broken, both of them. Afraid, both of them.
Hopeful, both of them.
“I understand, Aziraphale,” Crowley had said back. They had stretched out a hand to Aziraphale. “Come on. Let’s think of a plan together.”
And they had. Somehow, miraculously, ineffably, a second apocalypse had been averted. Heaven and Hell were cut off. They were free — truly free. And they had all the time in the universe.
So, naturally, they left London.
OR: After the Second Coming does not Come, Crowley and Aziraphale move to the South Downs. However, living together is difficult when there are over 6000 years of tension between them - tension which must be resolved if they are to have their happily ever after.

Dr Zira Fell is a new professor of theology at St Beryl's University. His first day there he meets the mysterious and enchanting Dr AJ Crowley, an art history professor and a painter. They almost immediately become friends, and spend most of their time getting lunch together, talking, drinking wine, making art, and falling slowly in love with one another.
Featuring cameos of everyone's favorite (and least favorite) characters, gratuitous descriptions of paintings, long text messaging conversations, and one cranky cat.

When a six-year-old Azira Fell entered his second year classroom in primary school, he of course noticed the way the classroom changed colors, giving a little gasp as suddenly the world grew so much brighter, so much louder, so much more vibrant, but there were so many children there — anyone could be his soulmate. Nobody else had seemed to react, though. How odd.
He found his way to sit beside a red-haired boy, who gave him a grin. “‘M Tony,” the boy said.
“I’m Azira,” he replied. “‘S nice to meet you.”

Summary
There is a ritual to the casting out of a rebellious angel, a ritual which was perfected during the Great Rebellion. When angels first began to drop through the firmament during the first war ever staged, they would try to fly back. Many succeeded, grasping onto the edges of the holes, wings flapping desperately as they tried to pull themselves back up. So the ones doing the casting out decided to prevent these rejects from crawling back into Heaven.
OR: When Crowley-Who-Was-Not-Yet-Crowley fell, he landed on his back.

“What are you doing?” he breathes, barely audible. The words feel like they’re coming from somewhere else.
“Being brave,” Caleb replies.

Piercing blue eyes met him so intently he couldn’t help but blink, even with a cat as barrier. “We had this conversation, when you decided to keep this baby, and again when the morning sickness started, and you told me you did not think you were ready, but you wanted to be. I told you how much family means to me, and you laughed and commented on Veth and Luc, and we both agreed to prove there is no venom in our veins and we can raise a child with love as tonic.”
The cats both complained as Caleb leant up on his knees and kissed his partner. “I do not doubt you. Trust in me.”
Essek nodded reluctantly. “I do.”

“Too expensive,” Caleb demurs, the denial so prompt it cannot be anything but reflexive. “Besides, I don't need it.”
