He could practically hear the angel’s brain working as it put the pieces together. “Oh, my dear,” he breathed after a moment, and Crowley felt a second hand covering his own. “You must be exhausted.”
In the wake of an averted apocalypse, an angel grieves, and a demon is drained. With their punishments looming over them, Crowley and Aziraphale attempt to tie up some loose ends.

Crowley’s hoping for a distraction, for something to fill the empty hours, when he goes along to the Tadfield Amateur Dramatic Group meeting. Meeting Aziraphale, the director, was never part of the plan.

Post S2, picking up immediately with Aziraphale and the Metatron in the lift to Heaven. But...what if both Heaven and Hell have been getting it wrong all along? What if there's more at stake than just humanity, and the only thing that could possibly save all of Existence is a truly massive miracle...which Aziraphale can't accomplish on his own?

Summary
Crowley’s saunter seemed off. Aziraphale had no other way to put it. Over 6,000 years he was used to the demon’s swaggering step, but the steps seemed more uneven than usual. There were several times he had to casually step aside to make more room so they didn’t run into each other.
And his walk was slower than usual, too. Usually the energetic demon walked a few steps ahead and it was all he could do to keep up. Aziraphale slowed down too, choosing to comment on the new restaurants nearby he wanted to try, taking a moment to pause and point those out so Crowley could keep pace without calling attention to it.
By the time they reached the park, Aziraphale found he couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“Are you sure you’re quite alright, dearest?”
