Yeoman Warder Fell, guard of the East Gate, was startled by the sound of an “Oi!” from outside the Tower of London walls. He looked down to see a red-haired man cradling a pigeon in his hands.
“Yes? Was that you?” Fell asked.
“The Tower has a ravenkeep, yeah?” the man yelled up. “This pigeon needs immediate medical attention!”

She fell into his embrace like she was custom fit for it as they moved in rhythm, almost sharing a single heartbeat as their breaths fell in sync. She tapped the toe of her shoe just against his shiny wingtip, and slid her foot up the inside of his leg with a practiced enganche flourish.
It’s just a dance, she told herself. But something about the way he breathed a little more heavily into her ear made her breath speed up slightly too...

Mrs Henderson was a short woman with an even shorter temper and one of the few humans Crowley ever bothered to learn by name (though she had begrudgingly accepted “Mrs. H” as a polite compromise). She ran a clean, no-nonsense operation, and soon became Crowley's preferred contact for black market whisky sales.
She didn't know she had employed a literal demon, but if she had known, she wouldn't have cared.
