Summary
A year before, his name was Conquest. A name built not for him, but his purpose. He would never tell anyone outright, but he hates it.
Day after day passed by unnoticed, until he was given a rather strange assignment. Relocate to Earth and lay undercover as it’s protector to see if its species are compatible with their DNA.11 Months before, he introduced himself to the leader of Earths defence, one Cecil Steadman, as Conquest – The director of the GDA, as he called it, decided to assign him with the name “Cody”. He claimed it was to help him ‘Fit in with the rest of us.’
3 Months before, he met with a man named ‘Art’ to discuss a change of costume. The other heroes had expressed distaste for his Viltrumite uniform, claiming it looked “Tacky and Uninspired”
However, he allowed Art to begin with designing a new one. The first thing that he had asked for was a name he’d like to go by.
He decided on Triumph. He would never tell anyone outright, but the name caused his heart to beat for the first time in eons.On that fateful day, he questioned his mission for the first time.

Will turns to look at Hannibal through the opaque plastic of his hood. Rain drips down the slope of his nose, and he wipes at droplets like tears. Hannibal's eyes scan the cliff, canvassing the distance that remains. He watches Will's eyes move, looking past Hannibal, at the trail that leads down to the beach. Their footsteps are gone now, lost in the downpour and mud.
"It might be," Will says.
