Every Hermit froze.
Scar whispered, “You’re lying.”
Mumbo stepped forward, shaking. “You don’t know him.”
Xisuma’s jaw tightened. “This isn’t Grian.”But Silly only stared back at them, unblinking.
“Then where is he?”
And that was the moment—
the breathless, terrifying moment—
when they all realized:Grian was gone.

You know, Shelly was quite the favourite toon in the fandom, not that she knew, of course.
Despite her importance in runs, she was often ignored. No problem, thought Shelly.
Shelly doesn't mind it. She wasn't one to hold grudges, after all.
It was 8 pm, Shelly and a few other toons were in an ichor run. Most of them were in their sleepwear, Shelly included, and the tiredness made it a bit harder to manage than usual.
The fossilian was on a machine, close to where Pebble was distracting. Strangely, Pebble still had enough energy to distract, which even most distractors wouldn't find easy.
"NGH..." Shelly grumbled under her breath. It was indeed hard to stay up late. She made a small shriek, and she almost missed the checkpoint.
It wasn't enough to alert a twisted, Shelly took a breath. She knew this because all the twisteds were on pebbles.
It took a few minutes to finish, but it was decent enough for Shelly. She turned around, planning to go to the elevator.
A small figure with a ball-shaped head was walking towards her. Maybe it's toodles, Thought Shelly. Rodger's here, so she might have snuck along.
