In truth, Opal Beifong was born in secret on Kyoshi Island in 154 AG. The only child of Lin Beifong and the first daughter of Tenzin, son of Avatar Aang, she proved to be an airbender at the age of three. She would not meet her birth parents for a further fourteen years.
