Summary
“Honey, I already told you out at the gate,” Eddie said with a weary sigh, trying to act normal, “we don’t have to sit next to each other on the plane. We’re gonna be on vacation together for two weeks.”
“Well, every time your mom calls, she says I’m not romantic enough,” the handsome stranger countered, propping his elbow on the back of Eddie’s seat and casually leaning closer. “So I thought we could hold hands on our way to vacation. Excuse me.”
Buck and Eddie get first-class tickets, join the Mile High Club, and possibly meet the love of their lives—not necessarily in that order.

Summary
Buck’s whole body tensed up suddenly, panic hitting him like a lightning strike—sharp and zigzagging, nauseatingly fast, straight into the pit of his stomach. He blinked his eyes open, ignored the ice pick-pick-pick of pain thrumming through his skull, and lifted his head to look.
Horrifically, he was naked. Very, very naked. And so was—Eddie.
Buck and Eddie sleep together during Chimney's bachelor party. In the chaotic aftermath, they face the consequences and finally come to some long overdue realizations.

“You like it there?”
“The 133? Yeah. It’s, uh—good. Solid team.” Buck hesitated. “Different, but good.”
Eddie swallowed around the knot in his throat. “I’m glad.”
Six months of silence, one impulsive visit, and the conversation they should’ve had a long time ago. Buck and Eddie finally talk about what went wrong between them after the lawsuit. And maybe, just maybe, they start putting the pieces back together.

Summary
The day after Frank’s world comes crashing down, he gets a chance for a do-ever. The first time it was a blessing. The second time it was a curse.
What is it that he’s supposed to be fixing?
This feels exceptionally difficult to actually write down, in ink:
Every morning, I wake up and it’s September 5th again.
It’s been eleven days now. I don’t know why writing it down makes me want to be sick all over again.
I’m not going to do a second-by-second ticktock of exactly what happens. I know what happens. And if I can’t remember, all I have to do is wait twenty-four hours for it to come around again. Jesus H Fucking Christ.

Summary
It started with a browser tab she forgot to close. And then a text that was maybe a little too personal. And then it went all downhill from there …
“Before we … back when we were just texting, I had this fantasy …”
“Don’t you dare stop talking.”

Summary
“—and I know that there’s Becca and Tanner and Millie to consider, but I was wondering if you maybe wanted to move in? Together? With me?”
Mel blinks. He certainly doesn’t look like he’s having a stroke.
“Frank, why would we move in together?”
“I thought it might be nice,” he shrugs here, acting nonchalant even though Mel can see the tension in his jaw. “To take that next step in our relationship.”
“Frank, what are you talking about? We’re not in a relationship?”
At this, Frank’s frown deepens before widening into a frustrated half smile. “Uh, yes we are? We’ve been dating for nine months?”
What.
Or, Frank thinks Mel doesn’t do physical touch.
Or, Mel doesn’t realize they’ve been dating for nine months.- Language:

Summary
Mel King was a creature of habit.
There was a specific sort of choreography to her life beyond the chaos of the Emergency Department. A carefully controlled routine, a color-coded calendar, a rigid set of rituals that kept her grounded enough to keep showing up day after day, to keep on doing the work that was required of her to save lives.
Everything was going fine for Mel. Her personal life was predictable, unexciting, and perfectly fulfilling, thank you very much.
Enter Frank Langdon, agent of chaos.
