Mark raises an eyebrow.

"So have you—uh—" At the edges of his lips, it sounds so insane. "Have you ever wanted to eat another hybrid?"
"Eat another hybrid?"
Oscar nods sharply.
"Oscar…" Mark drags it out like he is about to reprimand him. "Do you want to eat someone?"OR: Oscar is a rabbit hybrid. Carlos is a fox hybrid. Oscar is terrified that Carlos might want to eat him, so he tries to face his fears via exposure. Carlos interprets Oscar's sudden interest in spending time with him a bit differently.

The sentence barely leaves Oscar before Max is crowding into his space, Oscar instinctively backing up until his back hits the wall. A small gasp leaving his lips from the impact. “Max.”
“I —” Max seems to realise what he’s doing, how close he’s gotten as he stops just a few inches away from Oscar. “I cannot control what I worry for.”
Or; Oscar has no intention of falling in love or marrying, least of all with the alpha meant to court his sister.
