There was no luxury of dissociating from it, it was constantly there digging into his very being, his very thoughts, his very soul-

    A pause in the mind numbing burn. He felt something tugging him into the green. Finally, the feeling of freedom from this state of being, accompanied by a flash of vivid, toxic green.

    (Or, I basically wanted my own version of Peter Parker in Gotham teehee. It is my first actual fanfic, so go easy on me!)
