Percy thought the worst part of the night was going to be finding lasting damage from Clarisse's electric spear.
However he hadn't accounted for that in the process for looking for one thing. Another thing would come up. The one thing Gabe had told him to keep his mouth shut about that Percy had always followed. Because it would mean losing his Mom if anyone found out about their 'guy secret'.
Was no longer a secret.
OR
Poseidon having Apollo check out Perseus was supposed to be about simply making sure that the Ares girl hadn't caused more damage then they realized. Leads to certain things coming to light that he wouldn't have shared otherwise.
(Takes place during Ch 2 of Here Comes the Consequences after Triton finds out about the spear. But before the next CTF game that got cancelled. This is not meant to be read without knowing the context of the first fic. )

Having to deal with the consequences of a goddesses actions against a child of the sea. Had been bad the first time for all of them. And Triton hadn't wished it on anyone else.
To have it happen almost a second time through one of her children. Was proving to be just as painful as the first.
Even if this time it was his half brother instead of his child.
Or
When the consequences from the Capture the Flag game are more severe because Percy does nearly die against the Ares cabin. It brings back some bad memories for his Dad's side of the family due to Annabeth's involvement. And as a result ends up gaining a very (in Percy's opinion.) overprotective immortal family in the process.

Percy wasn't even entirely sure if this was actually his Dad. Or if it was his Dad he would even listen to him considering the sheer lack of absence in his life before now. But that was fine it wasn't really about his Dad hearing him.
It was honestly more about airing some of his frustrations somewhere that he didn't feel like he could get in trouble. Because he didn't want to sound ungrateful for this chance. But...camp was a lot, and he hadn't even been here a full day!

His granny stood outside, dusted off their frayed doormat, and happily hummed a little song the neighbour kids had sung when they had passed her a few minutes ago.
“Oh!“
Ruggie craned his neck toward the door, making him prick up his ears.
“What is it, Granny?“
“Look what blew right in front of my feet.“
She laughed, and waved at him with the newspaper.
Ruggie grinned at her, and licked out the last crumbs from the cereals out of his bowl, before he snatched it from her. He skimmed the text with not that much interest, and was about to toss it on the table, as a headline caught his eye.
“Are you kidding me?!“
Our beloved Prince Cheka, kidnapped. Saved, only a few hours later, by the Second Prince Leona.
Or: Cheka is kidnapped and Leona –not that he cares, don’t get him wrong ;)– comes to the rescue and (offscreen, sorry) beats some ass.
