'Sun was slowly streaming into the room, letting Aphmau know that she’d likely overslept again. Nobody had woken her up, content to let her rest while they worked away downstairs and she couldn’t help the fond sigh that escaped her. Really, they treated her like she was glass sometimes. She could wake up a little early if it meant helping out with breakfast!
Still, it was a nice feeling to be so… coveted. She let herself cherish the moment for a few seconds, sitting in her most comfortable pyjamas in a bed far too big for her on her own, and listening to the faint laughter and conversation going on downstairs.'

Now a villain, life is actually pretty chill. He’s got a cute dog, a sturdy warehouse, and oh right, a firebrand hero he is completely, utterly, pathetically, maddeningly obsessed with. A hero who plays the moral high ground but always somehow ends up on his knees, at Robert’s mercy.

"Tommy, kids are always going to be assholes." Phil says, for once sounding like a robot, almost monotone in that way Techno's tone is on the daily. "Just ignore them. They're probably just miserable and," Phil lifts one hand and waves it around, gesturing, before bringing it back down to continue typing. He doesn't turn around to look at Tommy at all. "—you know." he sighs.
"You can a handle it." his dad says. "Just— grow up. Be the bigger person."
A heavy weight like a stone drops in Tommy's stomach. He feels it, and with the stone, his heart as well. For a second, he thinks he might be sick.
Just grow up.
"O—oh." Tommy chokes, feeling a ball forming in his throat, blocking it up, causing tears to prick at his eyes. He goes to try to speak around it, but—
"Is there anything else you need?" Phil asks, endlessly facing away, still not even bothering to face Tommy. "I'm really busy, kiddo."

Techno's reaction is delayed. First, his eyes widen, mouth falling open in a gape. Then, he sits up, back going tense, shoulders hiking up just barely.
For a moment, he says nothing, swimming in the reveal.
Then, quietly, he mutters, "I'll fucking kill him."
Wilbur grins with too much teeth. "Now that's more like it."
