Summary
“Just saying, if you’re taking another hit, you should share it with me,” Mike says, and Will slowly tilts his head, drinking in every word. “It just makes sense. Like, mathematically.”
Will’s reddened eyes narrow, bewildered. “Mathematically?”
“If there’s two hits left, we’d each only get one,” Mike explains. “But if we shotgunned, we’d both get two.” God, this is the best idea he’s had in ages. He should’ve stolen Will’s weed, like, months ago. “That’s like, bang for your buck. This is simple math, Will Byers. Keep up.”
In which it’s well past midnight in New York, Will can’t sleep, and Mike feels like they barely know each other anymore.
So, they get a little high. Mike is very normal about all of it.

Summary
"I- I want to help you," Mike says, his eyes still closed. "Help you feel good."
Thrill zips up Will's spine. The words are straight out of a fantasy, out of a dream he's certain he's had about Mike, before.
His hands grip the sheets under him. Mike must've meant it in a different way. Will's reading into this, like he always does.
"Have you ever…" And here, Mike's hesitation makes him meet Will's eyes again. Will's breath catches at the sight. His pupils are blown out, his breath uneven. He looks hungry.
"Have you ever touched yourself, Will?"

Summary
A game of Truth or Dare leaves things between Will and Mike… different.
“Wait,” Mike blurted, his hand flying out and grasping at Will’s wrist. He snapped his head down to where Mike held onto him, then lifted his narrowed eyes to Mike. “I um,” Mike’s eyebrows pulled together, his eyes trained on where his hand gripped Will.
“What?” Will breathed, turning back to Mike. He released his grip on Will, pulling his gaze up to meet his. A tentative look strained Mike’s face, his lips thinning into a slight frown.
“I could show you,” Mike muttered.
“Show me?” Will’s eyebrows twisted up in confusion. “Show me what?” He couldn’t quite tell in the dimly lit room, but he swore Mike’s cheeks were faintly flushed.
“What to do,” Mike croaked, his voice quieter than before. He cowered his eyes down to the kitchen tiles, his arms pulling up and crossing over his chest as his shoulders hunched in just slightly. “How to kiss,” Mike whispered, almost inaudible even in the still house.

Summary
But it wasn’t a monster that came out of the trees. It was a person. A boy.
Mike froze.
Then he was spotted, and the boy stopped in his tracks; with skillful movements, he quickly slung the rifle off his shoulder and pointed it at Mike’s chest. Mike raised his hands while trying to keep most of his weight on his left leg.
“Whoa. Hey,” Mike said, his eyes wide as he stared at the tip of the rifle. “Just hold on. I’m not—I’m not going to hurt you.”
Or: A crawl gone wrong left Mike stranded in the Upside Down. Hurt and alone, Mike stumbles upon someone everyone told him was dead.
Will Byers was never found Au
