Fifteen minutes.
The time left until the final class of the day so he can return to his dorm.
His foot is tapping the ground impatiently as he checks the time from his phone. The sun is bright and up, the campus is impossibly loud with everyone trying to make the most of the nice weather. But not Till. He very much prefers this small shadowed place he found near the building where he has his class in– Alone, and a cigarette between his fingers to pass the time.- Language:

"Stop blabbering nonsense and get your job done already, Childe. You're wasting my expensive time here."
"Yeah, yeah, I got it. I don't think we can pull more information from him, can't we? We've been doing this for hours and yet he—"
Ring! Ring! Ring!
All other sounds fell silent, and Childe looked down to the source, namely his pocket.
"Is- Is that your phone?! Why didn't you turn it off?! What if your signal got tracked?!"
Childe fished it out, and his cerulean eyes regained their humane glints as he caught a name incredibly dear to him on the phone screen. He answered it, and greeted the person with mirth lighting his voice bright.
"Zhongli, honey! What's up?”
"Ah shit, it's the husband." Childe heard Scaramouche grumble in one ear, but he ignored it in favour of listening to his husband.
~~~
A peek on Childe's life as a certain funeral consultant's husband, the Tsaritsa's Harbinger, and apparently a striving father.
Summary
Ajax had a soulmate mark, just like about half the population of Teyvat did.
If Ajax ever found his soulmate, he would pretend to be normal for them. He would observe from afar if possible, and make sure nothing happened to them. That no ailments ever came to them. That they never came to lack anything.
That was the plan. Or, at least, it had been, until the Tsaritsa requested an audience with him alone and asked to see his mark.“Tartaglia,” she began, serious. “That is Morax, the Geo Archon.”
-------------
Or, Ajax is Morax' soulmate, the Tsaritsa ships him off to Liyue, and he has to pretend like he doesn't feel like he's not good enough for the Geo Archon.
Summary
In all his years in the Fatui, Childe has never had problems following through with his archon’s orders. That is, until The Tsaritsa sends him his final mission--to leave Snezhnaya and marry the Geo Archon, Rex Lapis. He knows deep down that he must obey, yet the very thought of leaving his family makes him dizzy.
Embittered and betrayed, Childe vows to fulfill his mission without compromising himself, Rex Lapis be damned. Too bad he has absolutely no interest in Rex Lapis--he’s much more interested in the powerful Morax he’s heard so much about from the Liyue citizens...And then there’s Zhongli, a peculiar citizen who’s as alluring as he is mysterious. With the days to his wedding winding down, Childe must decide whether he will follow the demands of his country or the demands of his heart.- Language:
Summary
After his little brother is bundled back to Snezhnaya, Childe makes good on his promise to the traveller and takes the first boat out of Liyue Harbor. Any sense of homecoming lasts about as long as an uncooked steak in front of Xiangling, however, when his boat sinks, grounding him back in the mainland.
It's just as well, because the next morning, a body is found in the Northland Bank.
A visit from a fellow Harbinger reveals a far more insidious plot than anything Childe could concoct with a god of the vortex and twenty minutes without supervision. The murders aren’t limited to the one Bank. They’ve been trailing down the Liyue border, getting closer and closer to the city. The Tsaritsa has a new mission for him: to figure out who, or what is targeting Fatui forces.Against his best wishes, Childe is forced to see Zhongli again at the morgue. It becomes clear that he’s going to need a guide, and Childe resolves to quash his pride, and their differences to request his help to navigate Liyue and solve the case.
