"No," Gao Tu denies instantly, rage starting to eat the panic. "With my baby. I don't want anything from you but for you to leave me alone."
His instincts start to stir, something violent and old writhing in his gut, but he doesn't have long to think about it before Shen Wenlang, jaw tight, reaches out as if to grab him.
The sudden snarl that tears out of Gao Tu's throat as he steps back is so vicious it hurts to make, but the omega ignores the pain and bares his teeth, one hand curled protectively around his stomach and the other hovering, ready to do whatever it takes to protect his child.
"There is no amount of money you can throw at me to make me give him up," he hisses, a growl hovering beneath every word. "And trust me, Shen Wenlang, when I say I will fucking kill you before I let you hurt my baby."

Or Gao Tu gets to bitch slap Shen Wenlang like he deserves, and Shen Wenlang decides that he is going to do whatever it takes to keep this feral omega and his (future) pup

Gao Tu tries not to stifle a sound of his sobs.
"Gao Tu?" This will probably be the last time I'll ever hear my name come out of your lips...
"Wenlang..." Gao Tu whispered.
"H-Huh?" Shen Wenlang— flustered since it's been 4-5 years since he's heard Gao Tu call him by his name... .
"Shen Wenlang..." Gao Tu smiles behind the phone as he calls his first love of ten years for the last time... How bittersweet.
"Goodnight." He ends the call and covers his mouth to muffle his sobs. Goodbye, Shen Wenlang let's not see each other again...
And he watched as the flames swallowed his apartment until it's left in shambles

Gao Tu decided to reach out to his friend and stage his death. To escape from everyone— especially from Shen Wenlang.

Shen Wenlang agrees to Hua Yong’s plan, it sounds simple enough. He’ll act the part as Hua Yong’s lover and Hua Yong will pretend to be an Omega, and hopefully it’ll gain them jealousy from Gao Tu and Sheng Shaoyou. It won’t result in heartbreak, confusion and misunderstandings, right?
