Summary
Andrew and Neil are merfolk. They’re just…not very good at it.
Raised pod-less and alone in the deep sea, they meet, mate, and figure out the whole merman thing together, one fin at a time.

AKA a series of unconnected moments in Andrew and Neil’s life as they learn, live, and love

Summary
This is an extended character study covering the relationship between Andrew and Aaron Minyard before, during, and after the books. They literally deserve the world and are so near and dear to me guys. I wanted a study that showed the mindsets they each had going into the books, and behind all their interactions. Despite being twins, they speak different languages to each other for so long, there are so many misunderstandings because of their different mindsets that make their interactions so layered.
Also, Aaron is such a misunderstood and under-loved character. He deserves the world and I so hope that I am able to do him justice.
And finally, huge shoutout to forgottendiaries for inspiring me to write this, being such a good beta, and ranting with me about the those funky little sports gays.

Summary
It’s nothing new that aaron minyard and neil josten do not get along.
it has been the case since the very beginning and there’s no changing to that to expect.
however, no one expected for neil to protect aaron when he got belittled either.
nor did anyone expect for aaron to care enough about neil to pull him out of a dire situation and ground him back to reality.
perhaps it was just their mutual care for andrew connecting them.
perhaps there was more.
but any expectations regarding a failing friendship had dissolved without their intent.
after all expectations weren’t automatically reality.
but none of the two would ever mention it anyway.
perhaps they would deny the blooming friendship between them no matter how strong it grew.
but it surely was there.

Summary
Andrew Minyard carries the knives. Aaron Minyard knows where to put them. They are infamous, insanely effective, and utterly terrifying. Until Neil Josten.
Bound in chains and bleeding out, Neil doesn't scream or beg. He critiques their form. He corrects their angles. He is, to their utter disbelief, unimpressed.
Some things, once broken, can't be broken again. And the most dangerous thing in the room was never them.

Summary
Neil Josten was always a strong man. He’d been one since before he was even a man, just a boy on the run with no destination in sight. But now that he’d found his destination, fate was cruel and unjust and if life was fair, he wouldn’t be a Fox. With Andrew in the hospital, Neil doesn’t know if fate was fucking with him or if his luck had always been this bad.

Andrew's organs fail him. Neil tries to cope with the fact that he might never wake up again.
