Summary
It seems that as long as beings are born beneath the stars, they are always compelled to travel among them. This is because of one important fact that is often overlooked:
The universe is alive.
✧✧✧
Mark finds out the Captain's deep dark secret. Something they haven’t told a soul. Given everything that’s going on, he doesn't take it well. After the paradox is resolved and Mark looses his memory however, the Captain has another chance to be open and honest with their crew. If only Mark would stop avoiding them.
Told from literally anyone's perspective except the Captain's lol (haven’t you had enough of those)

Summary
Simon wakes up in an ocean of blood, in a body he knows he shouldn't have, because his body was supposed to have been vaporized cell by cell in an explosive decompression. This isn't all bad, maybe he'd even hazard a guess that it's a good thing, but the fact that he can touch the surface of the water and feels the bottom of the ocean right at his back at the same time may present a problem.
He's become something bigger than us.

Summary
“What the—” Jay began, sitting back up, though she realised her mistake when Gillion whimpered as his body forced itself to growth again. “Fuck, okay, sorry, I’m—do you want me to lay back down?” Vision swimming, Gillion got himself to nod. “Okay.”
She did. Gillion’s arm burned where it was thrown around her. His bones felt like they’d broken and regrown wrong. His organs felt beaten tender. His veins itched, warning of danger.
And of course Jay understood. She had always been the smartest of the bunch. “You know, when you said you’re five-one when no one’s looking at you, you could’ve clarified that that wasn’t a joke.”
It was said with love, of course. As everything she said was. It meant you idiot, you could’ve saved yourself so much trouble. Why do you never save yourself trouble you don’t need to be in?
Gillion made himself breathe, fighting the ugly creak of his ribs as his chest expanded. “It wasn’t.”

Or: As a survival instinct, Gillion grows taller when he is perceived. It sucks.

Summary
Spiritual Successor to "It Came From the Vents." Gordon Freeman has spent three years trying to stabilize the AIs he befriended after a disastrous end to a military project. He's stolen company property, ignored his family, and neglected himself in hopes of success. Now that he's made progress, it's becoming increasingly apparent that one of the AIs in question may not be a program at all. No one can say for certain what this revelation will lead to, but one thing's for sure: HR is going to have a field day with this one.

Summary
It's 1982, and Aperture Science has made a breakthrough in the development of AI, having successfully completed the first ever artificial duplication of a human mind. The prototype speaks and thinks just like its progenitor, the scatterbrained yet determined Doctor Wheatley, but the question remains: is the digital copy truly the same as the human it believes itself to be? Is it happy to exist as it does? And why does it insist on being treated like a person?
Well, there's only one way to find out. It's time to test. And test. And test. And test.
