    This time, his voice is effective. Weary but exponentially warm golden-brown eyes flit up from the mess of gears and screws Jayce is carefully accounting for, a scar-nicked brow turns up in wholesome attentiveness as he tunes in to his companion's query.

    "Hm?" Comes a still partly-distracted response.

    Viktor makes a little sound partway between an exhale and a chuckle.

    "I said," He begins again. "I believe that I ran into an old colleague of yours this morning."

     

    Or,

    Jayce struggles to deal with an old headache. An old headache that might just want to sleep with his lab partner.

    “Spread your legs a bit,” Jayce said, as he was trying to adjust Viktor’s new leg brace.

    Viktor blinked, eyes fixed on the wall of the lab. He knew, without having to check, that Jayce was completely focused on his task – brow furrowed, hands busy, not a thought in his head except for the intricate adjustments of the brace in front of him.

     

    Or, Viktor finds himself hopelessly attracted to Jayce despite his own misgivings.
    Jayce finds himself doing nice things for Viktor and daydreaming about him.

    “Jayce, I don’t know if I can…” Viktor trails off, feeling like he’s been dragged out of the dark and out into the light, Jayce’s gaze searing him with its warmth. He clears his throat. “I don’t know what this body allows me to-”

    Jayce interrupts him with a soft sound at the back of his throat. “Let me try.”

    The door closed behind them. Before Viktor could finish his question, Jayce’s hands were on his shoulders, his lips capturing Viktor’s mouth in a kiss that was anything but gentle.
    “Jayce,” he murmured between kisses, “we… ah… someone might…"
    “I don’t care,” Jayce muttered, his voice low and rough. His hands slid down to Viktor’s waist, pulling him closer. “I want you".

    PLOT: Jayce and Viktor are young students at the Academy, who meet by an accident. From the very beginning Jayce is truly fascinated by his new colleague. To his surprise, Viktor is not like his other friends. He is distant, mysterious, but also extremely brilliant, good-looking, and—what seems to be the biggest problem—completely resistant to Jayce's personal charm. This casual acquaintance becomes a real challenge for Jayce.

    The young Talis has no idea that his relationship with Viktor will turn his life upside down.
