John Dory had been on the road for years in search for his family. Marking off each place he went to. He met other trolls of various musical styles along his travels, but didn't stay around long enough, just to see if anyone has information and get supplies.
It was the lure of Pop music and the advertisement of a place called Mount Rageous to continue his search, only to find himself in a diamond prison by a teen seeking fame.

Parte 2:
Luego de que todos se fueran y que su mente se calmará, John regresa al árbol Troll pero lo encuentra vacío, emprende una búsqueda por todo el Reino Troll para encontrarlos. Casi pierde la esperanza hasta que oye la voz de Floyd en la Radio. Eso y oye de Ramón y su ayuda para detener el Rockapocalipsis. Va a ir por ellos pero lo secuestran.
Trolls 3 pero con John Dory siendo el secuestrado. -
