“Oh, this?” Stretching in place, Volo pulls down his frilled sleeves, checking the edges of his skirt. “We’ve been working with Anthe on some special designs based on fashions from Professor Laventon’s homeland. Do you like it?”
“But…” Rei looks down at Volo’s legs, then automatically back up to Volo’s face when he catches himself. “This fashion… this is for women, is it not?”
Volo also looks down at what is clearly a maid’s dress, twirling the skirt and lifting it up so it reveals the white frills underneath and his pale knees.
Akari shouldn’t be looking, really, but all that travelling has really toned Volo’s calves.
“Maybe,” Volo agrees, beaming at the both of them. “But don’t I look pretty?”
This ficlet is really just an excuse to write about Volo wearing a maid's dress.
