Summary
Strohl can count the number of possessions he has on one hand. Perhaps a small part of him longs for more to hold, but he certainly can’t bring Will into all of this. Everything he could call his either died or was lost to him for a time, both deep wounds that bring him no shortage of grief.
Strohl has determined three things about himself since the end of the first journey:
One, that he’s a pretty decent State Army General. Two, that he probably exists for the sole purpose of loving Will. And three, that he’d like to get married to this Will someday. Great. Now how does he get from a friend whose kissed Will a couple of times to… that?
