Seemingly frozen in the middle of buttoning one of the sleeves of the cotton shirt he’d donned – distinctly not his usual training leathers – he was looking at her with an expression Mor didn’t think she’d ever been on the receiving end of.
There was no kindness there, no warmth that he usually greeted her with. Instead, there was a fierce irritation, a protectiveness, even. The message was clear even to her basest of fae instincts.
