Summary
After the events in the Chamber of Secrets, Harry brings Lucius Malfoy's crimes to light. The Malfoy family name is ruined. Lucius is shipped off the Azkaban to await trial for his many crimes, and his wife flees the country. Draco, suddenly left alone in the world, is taken in by the one family willing to look past what his family has done. Although that means he has to learn to live with second hand sweaters and chickens in the yard. And Gingers...
This is planned to be a long term project rewriting the plots of the Harry Potter books, starting in the immediate aftermath of Chamber of Secrets. Each Volume will correspond to a single book and the plot will diverge from the canon as we go. Imagine a world where Draco's 'Weasley is Our King' pin isn't a joke and Harry gets to learn about the wizarding world from a pureblood.
PS- The works will rely heavily on use of canon characters, and there will be few to no OCs of any note. All pairrings will be listed in tags as they become relevant in the story but the focus is Ron/Draco.

Summary
The worst-case scenario happens and Tom Wambsgans goes to prison for crimes he was only tangentially involved in, at the tail end there. Even worse, he’s rooming with Greg Hirsch at the low-security facility he’s found himself in for the next three years.
As Greg points out, though, it’s probably for the best they’re housed together, because it means they don’t have to establish a new dynamic with another person. The place where he’s wrong is that a new dynamic is quickly established between them.
Not only do they start sleeping together, but Greg becomes the one pulling for Tom, instead of the other way around- the one who protects Tom, provides for him, gets him anything he can manage to make him comfortable. Of course, if he were honest, Tom might question whether it’s all that new, but it’s besides the point. Things do change, between them. He just hadn’t thought it would be for the better.
