Summary
Izuku can deal with broken bones. Broken bones are easy. You go to the nurse’s office, receive treatment for about a week or so, and then, the problem is officially solved. Well, okay, maybe it isn’t that simple. But it’s still much simpler than dealing with broken memories.
Something is wrong with One For All. Very, very wrong. And now, inexplicably, Izuku can’t tell his own memories apart from those of its vestiges, a condition which only seems to be worsening with time.
This wouldn’t be quite so bad on its own, but with All For One suddenly on the loose, and his father returning for the first time in years after months of radio silence… suffice to say, Izuku is a bit overwhelmed. But he can handle it. Or at least that’s what he keeps telling himself.

‘Aizawa is going to kill me.’ Was his only thought as he fumbled around for his new phone and dialled his coworkers number. “Midoriya, are you aware that it is 1 am?” Aizawa immediately said, causing a nervous chuckle to escape his mouth.
“Yeah.. uh, so sorry to call at this time but.. I seem to have gotten myself in a bit of a… situation.” When the man on the other end doesn’t reply they continue after a long inhale, “I… have lost Todoroki.”
There’s a beat of silence on the other end, and Izuku then hears the deep exhale and inhale, “you WHAT? Where are you, I'm coming over right now.”
Another nervous laugh, much more forced as the sky grows darker and darker by the second and he starts regretting not wearing gloves, “…Churchill… Manitoba.”
“Manitoba. Like- Canada?”
“Yes.”
“YOU LOST TODOROKI IN CANADA!?”

Izuku came back for two and a half things; to visit Nezu and fulfill his promise, to go back to Granny’s to have one of the heavenly apple tarts, and maybe, maybe scope out the latest fashion trends. They have no idea how they ended up saving all of Japan from a danger right under their noses.

How there are new white streaks in his hair and he feels like he can trust nobody — not even himself.)

Toga brings Midoriya back to the League's base when she isn't supposed to, and Shigaraki finds himself in a predicament when the hero brat he has a crush on is sitting there laughing at Bakugou in chains, deliberately irritating him, and making far-too-lighthearted comments about Bakugou suicide baiting him. Who the hell is the real Midoriya?
After he releases Midoriya from the room he's been being held in, everything spins out of control so damn quickly that Shigaraki really wishes he got paid more. Dabi's trying to adopt Midoriya, Toga's drinking blood with a twirly-straw, Midoriya is calling Shouto Todoroki (why didn't Toga take his phone off him?!), Magne and the others are out for Bakugou's blood now, and Shigaraki would very much like to be warp-gated to anywhere else.
I used canon events as a base, but the training camp abduction takes place in third year, making Midoriya eighteen.
