Rumours aside, it was clear that Rude was a man who had his life under control. He was in the gym by 5.30 every day and at his desk by 8. He did his work with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency. His suit was always perfectly creased. His pocket square always matched his tie. He ate well-balanced meals from fancy tupperware that had special compartments for nuts and fruit, and drank bottled water so pure it could probably start its own cult. He spoke little in meetings, but, when he did, everyone stopped to listen.
And, for some reason, he had decided that Reno was worth getting to know.

Day 1 - Reno meets a Malboro, Sephiroth, a pack of Nibel Wolves and a Bahba Velamyu.
Day 2 - Reno gets turned into a Mermaid and meets some friendly Sahagin. And Sephiroth again.
Day 3 - Reno meets a number of Jemnezmy, some Frightflowers, and Sephiroth again. Also, Rude stops by.
Day 4 - A bet is placed. Reno meets an Elphadunk, a Chimera and a Behemoth. Rufus finds the whole thing amusing, Hojo less so.
Day 5 - Reno meets Stingers, Bugaboo, Gorgers, Shoalopod, and Jayjujayme. Roche and Goulde appear. Sephiroth is displeased.----

Reno casually tosses a limb aside — even her fingertips looked like Chelsea’s. Deep crimson paints his fair skin in violent splotches, some of it so fresh it dribbles off his elbows. He turns and gives Rude a once over. With that lazy drawl and his usual swagger, his lips quirk.
“Hey there, partner.”
Rude’s throat goes dry. He should be furious, sad, anything really, but all he sees is how the white lace clings perfectly to his frame, unmistakable red bleeding into its hems. Same shade of red as his hair.
And then what little semblance of control Rude has, snaps like a faulty wire.
