    When Pidge was a baby, the Galra attacked. Earth fought them off, barely, and spent every minute since preparing for their return.

    To Pidge, this was normal. Her father spent his days toiling away on Garrison bases, working on tech that would protect the planet from alien invasion. No big deal. But then he and her brother go all the way to Kerberos, only to be lost, and the Garrison is hiding something, and somehow this leads to Pidge fighting the Galra empire with the other guy from that doomed mission, her two fellow cadets, some weird boy from the desert, an alien princess, and a moustached man - Oh, and the space lions. Why not?
