The room was dimly lit, the curtains undrawn, allowing a kaleidoscope of colors to bathe Alastor’s face. He had seemingly settled on the couch hours ago, one hand supporting his chin while his ankle rested gracefully on his opposite knee. Waiting, perhaps. And there was Vark, sprawled across most of the sofa, reclining placidly with his head nestled in Alastor’s lap.
What caught Vox off guard was the sight of Alastor fast asleep in his apartment.

Diluc had to make some money while he was abroad. Sue him. When he had to stay low, and didn’t have a stable address for Adelinde to send money to, he had to... become a clown.
So, naturally, he found himself in Snezhnaya making cash on the weekends performing for children’s birthday parties. This was his biggest paying gig ever. By a long shot. As long as he was able to stay relatively anonymous and receive his payment, he shouldn’t have any problems. Besides, Diluc couldn’t bring himself to walk away and never come back after he saw the shine in Childe’s eyes as he showed Diluc the pictures of his siblings he had in his wallet.

Between downing a wrong drink too many and waking up on the Chief Justice's couch at three in the morning - with the man still working, no less - Wriothesley could have had a less eventful night. Supposedly someone tried to drug him. Supposedly that person was competitively incompetent and mistook industrial-grade sleeping pills for whatever he was meant to have been subjected to. Either way, he'll remember to laugh at them when they inevitably ended up in jail. But for the time being, the Chief Justice's couch was comfortable and it was too late at night for any hope of a reasonable conversation.
All in all, the Duke of Meropide considered his latest visit to the Court of Fontaine to be a fruitful one.
