Summary
Years after Darkstalker has been defeated, some old wounds are opened up when Qibli receives a letter from Winter. Qibli, conflicted with past and present feelings, is unsure of what to do, but with some motivation from Queen Thorn (that, and playfully bullying, no less), he decides to pay the IceWing a visit after all these years. What he doesn't know, however, is that Winter has a lot more to say to Qibli in person than he did in his letter. Whether that's bad or good... Well, that's for Qibli to find out on his own.

It is after the Jade Mountain prophecy and Winter is fresh out of school, ready to study scavengers as he pleases. No more pretty Nightwings with silver scales or lowly Sandwings with sharp remarks. No more mind numbing homework that will get him nowhere, especially the ones from Webs. No more stupid thousands of years old dragons that want to wipe out his tribe out of existence. It is just him, scavengers and all of the time in the world in Sanctuary, the best place that would accept exiled Icewings like him. At least, until Qibli sends him a letter.

Winter has a crush on Moon, or does he?
The weeks knowing Qibli, that annoying, nagging idiot whom never stopped talking, he didn’t know that comforting routine would be ruined by a NightWing.
To cope, Winter has tried blaming a crush on her instead, and even persisted after Darkstalker. Now he lives at sanctuary and sends a letter to the couple every few weeks, and this time he’s invited them over.Will he finally reveal his feelings for Qibli, and stop trying to say its Moon he’s fallen for? Or is this just another tragic unsaid story? For Winter is still pestered at the loss of his rank, and my proxy, his family, the only tie he has to a true connection would be Qibli, really the only one who looked past his haughty anger, even Moonwatcher didn't look that deep.
But he just wants to spend time with his friend. Nothing deeper than that. (I'm not gunna lie, I left the fandom so this probably won't ever be finished.
