You turned the corner to see two barely-teens standing next to one of those old-school kidnapper vans. You didn’t think that kind of thing actually happened, and in broad daylight?!
Well no, an old school abduction was not actually happening right in front of your eyes, since the driver was currently leaning out the front seat window and bickering with the kids. Very counterproductive to getting them into the vehicle with you, one would think. One of the kids was yelling back. “Leave us alone, Rodrick!”
“My mom still thinks I’m twelve.”
“Mom! Greg said a bad word!”
“Your life is actually insane. You should write a book.”
“You are in SO MUCH TROUBLE, young man!”
Wouldn’t be the first time I redacted certain events.
“So there’s this really old movie that came out in 1944…”
“So, this is who you’ve been hiding from us…”
“My stupid brother, Rodrick…”
