Summary
Montgomery Gator died in that water - at least, he was supposed to. But he can't quite pass on when the ferryman chooses not to do his job, when the ferryman has personal motivations to protect this one young soul. Once Monty understands why, it's a matter of whether or not he can truly believe someone else is able to care for him, and see the bigger picture that his pain has blinded him to.

After seeing a new side of Monty, the Glamrocks have flooded their bassist with attention and adoration.
Monty, baffled by their behavior after years of negative attention, isolation, and self-loathing, eventually reaches the only conclusion that makes sense to him: they want him for his body.
As for a certain bear, Monty isn't too opposed to his advances, except he wishes Freddy liked him for who he was, and not how he looked.
