Summary
Sirens
A humanoid creature known to roam the oceans and lakes. These creatures are known for their alluring, somewhat hypnotic voice and shapeshifting abilities to convince their prey to jump into a body of water (usually fishermen or sailors). They are known to take the shape of beautiful women or someone the victim has romantic feelings for (it is unknown how sirens know these feelings, most likely by some sort of magic they possess). They proceed to devour them once the prey has entered their domain, once a human is fully submerged into the water there is no chance of saving them.
Sirens will first bite their prey and inject a venom that causes the victim to feel intense pleasure and weakens their body so they will not struggle before they are dragged under the water, never to submerge again.
Some sirens have evolved to walk and stray out onto the land for short periods of time if they are desperate enough. The citizens of Oz have yet to figure out why this is starting to occur.

Summary
Imagination is a wonderful thing, people use it to create worlds and stories that rival their own. These said stories often have beasts that either are long gone or just considered myths and legends, their stories lost to time.
One of these imaginative people wondered, hoped, that these beasts existed, they dreamt of horses with magical horns, goblins that lived under bridges, and giant flying lizards that lived on the top of mountains.
This person begged the stars and the moon to find these creatures and prove that she was more than just some silly child with too much imagination, and that magic was real.
People would tell her to quit trying, that these mythical beasts were simply stories and that she should give up on her dream of finding them, that she should be realistic. But this child was incredibly stubborn, and she was going to prove everyone wrong.
Little did this child know that she wouldn’t only find the magical beasts that once roamed the skies,
She’d become one.

But before she can say anything, Galinda sticks out her hand and introduces herself as if Elphaba hasn’t committed the curve of each letter and the sound of each syllable to memory.
She smiles, a fake friendly smile, one you’d display for someone you’ve never met before. “Glinda.”
Well, technically, that is a new name.
