Summary
She begins with some simple drum warmups. Nothing more than practicing rudiments on different parts of the kit, and she runs through her limb independence exercises a few times before putting on her headphones to actually play something.
Then her fucking phone rings.
Irked, she wipes the beads of sweat off of her brow and wonders who the fuck is bothering her. She knows it’s not her moms. Her sister installed a light to the basement door that’s hooked up to a light switch upstairs. If they want to talk to her, they’d just flick that switch, the light would go on, and she’d put the sticks and headphones down and see what they wanted.
She didn’t expect to see the name Adora Greyskull on her screen.

A voice calls out from behind her. “You really got to hit it.”
“Sorry!” Catra yelps, jumping off of the stool, nearly knocking it over as Adora rushes in front of her protectively, reaching one arm out and putting herself between Catra and the stranger in a well practiced motion. Catra put her hands behind her back, and looked down at the floor in shame.
Standing in front of her is a tall woman with dark skin and dyed, bluish white hair. She’s cocking her hip, and her pierced left eyebrow is raised in confusion. Catra didn’t even know eyebrows could be pierced. She thinks she wants one. “What are you apologizing for, kid?”
“Uh, touching the drums.” She responds.

Bookmarker's Notes
This fic is my absolute favorite fic. Pulse-pounding suspense, heart-shattering angst, carefully weaved foreshadowing the likes of which I have never seen. It's a thrill ride, and it has massive reread value. A Psychological Thriller that holds its own against the best of the genre, not just amongst fanfiction.

Summary
Shoto Todoroki can't seem to shake a thought that's been bothering him lately, and when the sobs and repressed memories strip away his rationality and leave him raw, the notion becomes much more appealing. Drowning in a haze of exhaustion, he can't seem to recall why he keeps on fighting, why living with the pain is somehow better than escaping it. For once, he doesn't put much thought into going through the motions.
Unfortunately, it seems he doesn’t have control over any facet of his life, not even his own death.
OR Shoto tries to kill himself, Kirishima is observant, Midoriya is roped into the fray, Aizawa is protective of his kids, and Class 1-A does their best to shower Todoroki with love and fluff.
