Light trickles through the halo atop his head and his veins glow blue beneath the pale marble of his skin and those iridescent eyes pierce straight through the soft heart she shields so desperately and affixes it to the table. The picture of divinity, debauched. She reaches out to cup his cheek and wonders, if her nails break skin would he bleed?
Or would he crumble, like stone?
