Captain Prowl, knee-deep in a military campaign, does not have time to deal with the whims of the noble house he forever wished he had not been a part of. If they want to arrange himself into a marriage against his will, then he simply will have to marry before then. Immediately, in fact.
The construction-frame mercenary medic they had hired for the duration of the campaign would, at the very least, keep his mockery private, if Prowl asked him to sign the marriage contract. It would only be temporary, after all. At least until the campaign was over.

“Alright, alright!” Orion held up his servos in defeat, the corners of his derma curved upwards nervously. “They were doing this thing with their intakes, it was a little… weird.”
“Their intakes?” D-16 was confused. “Were they fueling?” He'd thought the only thing you could do with intakes was consume energon and speak with a vocalizer. He guessed they were used for expressions, too, but D-16 failed to understand what else an intake could be used for.
“That's what I thought! But they didn't have any energon with them.” Orion thought for a moment. “It was more like… smashing their derma together.”
“What.”

A stupid AU treated fairly seriously, where Orion and D-16 stumble upon the concepts of interfacing and love, which apparently nearly no one else had discovered. What could go wrong?

Scar rowed back to the starter houses screaming his head off for help. “GUYS! GUYS- Everyone- wAH- bad news bad news!”
“What, Scar, what?” Gem snapped at him, covering her head with a trapdoor as it started to rain. She didn’t like to be interrupted in the middle of building her starter base.
“It’s Grian! We need everyone- we have to get- get together-”
Impulse was there. “Whoa- hey, Scar, take a deep breath. You’re not making any sense, buddy.”
“I tried to catch him, but he fell.” Scar’s chest heaved. His voice started to break. “It was so dark, and he fell into the dark. He looked so scared the last time I saw his face.”Grian woke up with a gasp. He blinked hard, sitting up and hitting his head on something.
Pain radiated out from another sore spot on his head, and several places on his body. He blinked again, but everything stayed pitch black. He shivered and craned his head, trying to identify the limits of the space, but everything seemed to close up. His wing was broken. Grian couldn't fly.
