Malfoy’s eyes flashed with irritation. “I see you’re still chasing after the boy-who-didn’t-die.”
Ginny felt her face flush with color. “We’re dating.”
“Sure,” he said airily.
“And what did Astoria do wrong to end up with you?”
Malfoy’s cruel smile grew. “You can do better than that, weasel.”
Ginny desperately wanted to punch that look off his face, but instead she took a deep breath. “I’m not a child anymore, Malfoy. I’m above school-yard insults.”
“But you’re still not above the poverty line.”
Without a second thought Ginny tossed the remainder of her drink onto Malfoy.

She rolls into town with the rising sun, a jar of pennies and a bag of half-eaten beef jerky in her passengers seat. She puts her car in park beside the WELCOME TO WHITESTONE sign, the old beat-up hatchback covered in faded bumper stickers wheezing to a stop. She’s interested in the sign, but not the part cheerily welcoming visitors off the highway, no - she wants to see the back.
Trudging through the half-melted slush, she picks her way over, praying things haven’t changed. That the old tree stump is still there to be used as a boost up (it is), and that the little piece of herself is still there. She smiles when she sees it, runs her fingers over it, the little, simplistic bear she carved into the sign nearly a decade ago.

All he has to do now is spend a year at some shitty religious boarding school in England. If he can get through the year without any more mistakes, he might be allowed to go back to Zeff.
It's a shame that damn mossball in his sociology class has to go and ruin his plans.

Jamie thinks if these were normal people - normal friends, they probably wouldn’t care as much as they do. Wouldn’t be this perceptive. However, he has somehow managed to make best friends with none other than Dani Rojas and Sam Obisanya. They are both warm rays of warm sunshine. Cups of tea on cold days. Bright lights at the end of a tunnel. Warmth and hope, and friendship.
Surprisingly, also two of the most perceptive players on the team, and bloody traitors apparently.
