    Summary

There was something in the confinement room.

You Huo first noticed it the moment his foot crossed over the entrance of the small, desolated western building those 154 and 922 guys called the invigilator’s quarter. It felt like a pair of lifeless, imperceptible eyes trailing after his every movement, more stubborn than a fly yet more elusive than a ghost.

You Huo’s steps paused for a second as he conducted a quick glance of his surroundings, only to discover nothing.

Except for the darkness pooling on the ceiling of the hallways, he didn't see anything else.

Two thousand, three hundred, and twelve days later, they met again amidst the snowstorm.

You Huo thought it was their first meeting, but it was, in fact, a reunion.

    Summary

"Um." Dan Heng's words trailed off as he looked in the hotel room, silence echoing like a loud judge.

Beside him, Blade stood, a deadpan expression on his face as he pulled the door open and faced the same view Dan Heng did. "Is that what that lady at the reception meant by 'special room'."

Before them was a vast expanse of beds. Like, quite possibly around ten beds. Dan Heng quickly counted "1,2,3...,9,10". Exactly ten. He didn't even know it was possible for a single room to have that many beds. What on Akivili was even happening.

    There was only one bed!

    ...Wait. What do you mean?

    There was... too many beds?

    Summary

Dan Heng squinted and took a step forward. Were the bandages wrapping Blade’s injuries always so…on display? And he could have sworn that Blade’s coat buttons had not always looked so strained…

“My eyes are up here,” Blade said.

    --

Dan Heng takes issue with how badly Blade's coat fits him.
